Welcome and Tena Koutou
This week I have included excerpts from the Principal’s speech at the Rosmini House final Mass and Prizegiving.
At St Peter’s in 2015 we have had a focus on community – one of our three C’s – the values of commitment, community and compassion. We do this in a number of ways and the students recognise this value and try their best to live it and refer to it in daily life. This is the same at Rosmini House.
The College continues to have a good collaborative relationship with the hostel and this adds real strength to both parts of the whole. It has been a year of change and challenge at St Peter’s College and Rosmini House and we look forward to a settled, forward looking 2016. I am confident that the strong culture of the college and hostel, our fantastic families and our wider Catholic community will support this to happen.
Thank you to all our parents and students. I appreciate your belief in St Peter’s College as an educational choice for your child and I am well aware of the enormous responsibility that incurs for both me as Principal and Jon as Director of Boarding. I assure you that you, your children and our special Catholic character is at the forefront of all decision making as we, with our respective Boards, continue to build our vision that St Peter’s College will be the Boarding School of choice for the Catholic families of Otago and Southland.
