Have you noticed how when you meet people these days and we ask how they are, they reply, “busy”, or “as busy as ever”? As Christians we need to be careful about the busy-ness competition. Being active and engaged in the world around is a gift, but if we are honest about or busy-ness, some of it is not virtuous. It’s about denial, avoidance or trying to stay with our peer group. In John’s Gospel the account of Pentecost, the primary gift Jesus’s gives his followers is peace. His gift of peace is like all the best things in life an attitude of mind and a habit born of making good choices. THIS IS WHAT I THINK WE ALL WANT FOR STUDENTS at the College. This is our task.
