I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your continuing support of St Peter’s College during 2014, and wish you all a very happy and holy Christmas season. Take the time to reflect on what is important and enjoy the company and time spent with those closest to you.
It is also that time of the year when we farewell staff who are moving on to new positions. As mentioned in a recent newsletter, we farewell Mr Simon Coleman as he leaves us to become Principal of Geraldine High School. Thank you, Simon, for your sound, professional leadership during the past four years and I wish you, Anna, Zara and Emily all the very best for this exciting promotion.
We also farewell Ms Lindsey Shields, Director of International Students, as she travels overseas to rediscover her homeland of Scotland. Miss Kelsey O’Connor and Mr Steven Cormack have been with us as fixed term teachers in 2014. They have both made a wonderful start to their teaching careers and will be missed by both staff and students. We wish them well as they move to new positions at Blue Mountain College and Ruru School respectively. Teacher’s aide, Mary Connell, has completed her teacher training and is leaving us to seek a teaching position. Miss Hayley Chalmers, our Sports’ Coordinator, has had a lot to do with our sporting community at school and is now entering teacher training. We may see you back at St Peter’s in a different capacity,
Hayley. To all these staff, I wish you the very best for your future positions and thank you for the committed contribution you have made to St Peter’s College during your time with us.
On behalf of the whole St Peter’s community, I would like to thank all the staff who contribute to our College for their ongoing commitment this year to the developments of our young people.
Take Care, stay safe and I look forward to seeing you all back as part of the St Peter’s College community in 2015.
