St Peter's College has been involved in a biannual exchange of students from Ratcliffe College in England since 2010.  Both schools are keen to continue the exchange and we are in discussion with Ratcliffe College about the proposed upcoming trips.  At present Ratcliffe College are sending a group of students (possibly 14) and staff members from the 9th (Week Two of the October holidays) until the 29th of October, 2017).  Those students/families that can help accommodate these students will be considered first for the return journey.

The proposed dates are:

Leave New Zealand 28/29 March 2018 for Rome

Arrive Dublin, 2 April

Arrive Ratcliffe College, 4 April.

Depart Ratcliffe College, 19 April for London.

Depart London Thursday, 27th of April in time for the beginning of Term 2 back at School.

Arrive back in Gore, Saturday,, 28th of April

In 2016 the exchange group visited Northern Italy and for three days learnt more about the life and work of Antoinio Rosmini.  On this trip we plan to also highlight the life and works of Catherine McAuley by   including Dublin, Ireland.

These are only proposed dates; however they are dates that we think could work well for our students.

This exchange is targeted at Year 8 and 9 students (in 2017).  It is also a self-funding trip (parental commitment to sort our payment), the School will not be assisting with funding or fundraising. If you are interested in this exchange for your child please come to an information evening on Thursday, March 30th, in A2 at 7pm.
