Robyn Young is away on leave from 27 July so for the rest of Term 3 Joy Delahunt will be available to help with enrolling in these courses. Please contact her in the Library Office. 

This is a great opportunity for robust credits before the end of the school year.

· Barista – Level 3, units to be confirmed (holiday employment opportunities) - Full Cost TBC, $100 per student school     subsidy

· Defensive Driving $100 school subsidy (a further two days required) - Full Cost $215, $100 per student school subsidy

· First Aid - FREE (a must for those entering Health Studies in 2018)

· Forklift - Unit 10851 L3 C7, Unit 10852 L3 C3 - Full cost $230, $100 per student school subsidy

These courses run July holidays and again October holidays

Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)

STAR 2017

This two day programme covers the unit standards required to gain the Licence Controller Qualification.  It is compulsory to hold this qualification if applying for the General Managers Certificate, and is important for people working or intending to work in a supervisory role in a licenced premises. 

Unit Standard 4646

      Demonstrate knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and its implications for licensed  premises

Level 4 - Credit 2, Versions 8

Unit Standard 16705

Demonstrate knowledge of Host Responsibility requirements as a Duty Manager of licensed premises

Level 4 - Credit 3, Versions 5

People credited with this unit standard are able, as a duty manager, to demonstrate knowledge of:

Alcohol and intoxication in licensed premises.

The responsibilities and requirements for alcohol service in licensed premises.

Maintenance of a safe drinking environment.

Venue: Southern Institute of Technology, Gore Campus, 70 Kakapo Street

Time: 9am – 5:30pm

Free to Year 12 and 13 students

Requirements: Pen and Highlighter

Dates:  Monday, 17 July and Thursday, 20 July 2017

Dates:  Monday, 9 October and Thursday, 12 October 2017

(NB There will be no courses held during Tournament Week)
