Kate Leebody who oversees and runs our Vocation and Star courses at St Peter's has created a Tertiary High School in Gore with the support of staff and Principals at Blue Mountain College, Fiordland College, Gore High S...chool, Menzies College, Northern Southland College and St Peter's. With the Hokonui Runanga, Telford and SIT also a large part of this High School, it is able to provide pathways in Construction and Infrastructure, Manufacturing and Technology, Agricultiure and Service Industries to students at these High Schools.

The Primary Industries Group at the Hokonui Tertiary High School spent last Friday at Telford where they were taught the techniques of crutching. Ken Payne, the tutor, took them through the tasks that are required in the woolshed during this process. They assembled their own hand pieces and were made aware of the Health and Safety requirement both for themselves and the animals. The enthusiasm for the task was evident and they went home tired and dirty but happy.
