Well done to the students who performed at the Gore Woman’s Club last week. They had a great time and enjoyed the wonderful dessert after the performance.

Congratulations to Viv Tamblyn (Teacher Aide) who once again had success - this time coming first in the West Otago Taste of Art - Heads and Toes Wearable Art competition. Also well done to Molly Hailes (Year 12) who modelled Viv’s creation. The Mataura School playing field was alive with music with approximately 850 pupils taking part in the 2019 Cultural Festival. We were very proud to have our Kapa Haka group performing during the day and they also took the lead in teaching the other schools some waiata and actions. It was a great opportunity to be part of this annual event. Thank you to Susan Dennison and the staff of Mataura School who hosted us for the day, and to Vanessa Whangapirita who prepared the group. |
