We were fortunate enough to have Victoria Subritzky-Nafatali and Kendra Cocksedge two very talented Black Ferns visit the school. They showed us a small clip of their latest success last year of the Woman’s Rugby World Cup, we were also able to see and hold the cup known as ‘Nancy’ to the team and some of their medals. They answered all of our girls team questions on their great careers both from on and off the field, sharing their knowledge & stories like how the cup got the name ‘Nancy’ and many other funny & interesting stories. We also got to hear about how woman rugby is getting closer and closer to becoming professional and we've got lots to look forward to as young players. I personally took a lot from this presentation from these ladies as it gave us a look into what we can try aim for in the future and was very interesting. I also have a lot of respect for the Black Ferns as they work full time jobs and juggle training to represent our country. Overall it was a good experience for our girls to be able to speak to Kendra & Victoria, one on one and we are very thankful for the opportunity.
