In the near future we are going to begin using online permission slips for sports events instead of the paper copy that is sent home with students or emailed to parents.
The new system will involve Google forms (the same as the students are now using for athletics entries) and will be sent via email to the necessary people. The form will include information about the sporting event and the caregiver will write their name and tick a box to confirm permission as well as any other information required.
This will eliminate the paper trail and permission slips left in the bottom of bags. In addition we are looking to switch the payment of all sports activities to being charged to caregivers accounts instead of cash being brought to the school with students.
More information regarding this will be sent out soon but if you have any questions or comments to make about these intended changes feel free to contact me.

On Monday, 30 students from Year 7 and 8 were very lucky to attend the first Kids Connecting Competition (KCC) at the MLT events center.
The day was created and organised by our very own Head Students, Fraser Ditchfield and Dakoda Conroy who saw a need for a competition between schools to ultimately offer an opportunity for our students to meet new people and make some new friends. 30 students from Longford Intermediate were invited to attend and participated in a variety of different sports and team building exercises throughout the day.
Fraser, Dakoda and their team of Year 12 & 13 students were a well oiled machine and ensured the day was a huge success.
I want to take this opportunity to thank them and their team on an extremely well run event!
