At the Hokonui Fashion and Design Awards at the weekend, Viv Tamblyn (teacher aide) was placed Runnerup in the Peroni Glamour Section and received a merit in the New World Daywear section.With over 200 garments on display, this was quite an achievement. Current St Peter’s College students who participated were Lucy Morrison, Ruby Miller and Ashton Wadsworth (models) and Nia Robertson who was assisting with front of house.
The Hokonui’s committee are planning to start a mentoring programme for students next year so any interested students will have continual support. Whether it is as a designer, model or helping out the back – do not miss this fantastic opportunity – do get involved!!
