Ash Wednesday

This Wednesday was Ash Wednesday On Ash Wednesday we are called to renew our relationship with God and Ourselves. We do this by repenting and turning back to God when we go on a journey throughout lent. We Fast, pray and do service (give alms) so that we can be renewed. This year we also focused on building up Christchurch as Wednesday was also the 1st year anniversary. Christchurch is going through a journey of being renewed just like we are through lent.

Opening Mass

This year we are focusing as a school on community. Our opening mass on Friday brought our community together through the readings teaching us that we all play a part of our community and then by sharing the celebration of the Eucharist.  Once we care for one another we can accept each other’s differences and build our community to become stronger rather than create disunity.  We were lucky to have Fr Vaughn Hook and Fr Damian as our celebrants
