Whanau Evenings

A very important aspect of your child’s education and personal growth and development is the strong relationship we seek to foster with parents and wider whanau so we can ensure our home-school-student connection is working well and moving in the same direction.  Therefore, it is important to us that we have the opportunities for two-way information sharing and a good understanding of the expectations of all involved in this partnership.

During the early part of Term One, we will be holding two whanau evenings for our Years 7 – 10 families. There will be important information sharing about relationships, systems, special character, curriculum, discipline processes, policies and procedures, digital learning and calendar events to name some important items, along with a ‘who’s who’ in the life of your child at school.  Different sessions will be held during the evening according to the age of your child/ren.

At the same time, we would like to take the opportunity to meet you, and for you to have an informal opportunity to chat to learning tutors about your child, their aspirations, your expectations of us and you will have the chance to ask any questions you might have as the year begins.

To keep this partnership strong, we expect all parents or a significant family member to attend one of the two evenings. Both evenings will have the same format and we have varied the time and day of the week to help guarantee your presence.

Please choose from one of the following evenings and put this on your calendar:

Thursday, 23 February at 7pm – 8.30pm

Friday, 3 March at 5pm – 6.30pm

We look forward to seeing you soon!
