The Year 10 Commerce class held their Market Day on Thursday, 19th May in the School Hall. It was the culmination of the 'Hands On' unit of w ork where students are actively involved in their learning. Students work in groups to design, produce, market and sell a product of their choice. The learning is student-centred where each group is responsible for making their own decisions, problem solving, meeting deadlines, preparing a plan, relating to others and engaging with the school community.
This years Market Day was amazing and well supported by all members of the St Peter's community.
The hall was packed and many people enjoyed the wide range of food available from hamburgers, potato torpedoes, chicken chippies, donuts, ice cream sundaes, to real fruit ice cream and milkshakes, to name a few. Fantastic and catchy business names were created and competition was fierce between the groups. The groups were; 'The Milky Way', ‘Go Nuts Donuts’, ‘Burjeer Bois’, ‘Fryday, Fri Boys’, ‘Ice Cream Shuffle’ and ‘Berry Nice Ice Cream’.
