It has been a successful time for the Year 7A netball team at the recent Southland Primary Schools Year 7 netball tournament. After being placed second in their pool, the girls went on to beat Southland Girls B, 8-3 but unfortunately lost to Tokanui by one goal.  The girls won 4 out of 6 games and were placed 9th out of 24 teams. This was not indicative of how well the girls went as in the pool play they lost to Takitimu by 2 goals who were placed second in the overall competition. A fantastic group of girls playing 6 full on games. A big thank you to Lisa Perkins for getting us their safely, Thea Pinckney for umpiring the multitude of games and Kathryn Pinckney  and Amanda Kotkamp for coaching on the day. Good luck to the Year 8’s who will compete in Invercargill on Tuesday.  We look forward to hearing about their results.
