On the 14th of June many of our budding Social Scientists took part in the annual Social Sciences Fair held in Invercargill. It is a growing event with the Fair being shifted to bigger premises at the Invercargill Workingmen's Club to accommodate the growing number of entries from around Southland. St Peter’s had 10 entries involved and the students put in many hours of preparation to complete their projects on a wide range of topics. We are very pleased to acknowledge Emily Chamberlain and Rosie Corcoran for their project on the Christchurch Earthquake which received a Merit and cash reward for their efforts.

I would also like to thank the parent/caregiver support for this opportunity to showcase the students’ skills in this area.
