Friday, 5th September, some of the SPC dancers headed to Queenstown for the inaugural Queenstown Dance Awards.
Three days of amazing Competition, with dancers from as far away as Auckland and Tauranga and the girls had some impressive results.
Dada Chantaraviroj - Hip Hop Solo 13 yrs and over - High Gold and 3rd Place
Dada and partner Aaliyah Silvestre - Modern Duo Trio - any age - Gold and 3rd equal
Phoebe Davidson-Watts and partner Heidi- Modern Duo Trio - any age - Gold and 3rd equal
Dada with partners Mikayla and Pip - - Modern Duo Trio - any age - Gold
Illuminate Hip Hop crew with Dada and Aaliyah- Modern open Troupe - High Gold and 2nd Place
With only a handful of Competitions left for the year, we wish all the best to Phoebe and partner Heidi at the Velocity Nationals in Auckland at the start of October and to Aaliyah and Dada as their crew Illuminate, will be competing against 70 Troupes at the National Young Performer Awards at Labour weekend in Palmerston North.
