This year’s SISS netball tournament was an incredible experience filled with unforgettable memories for me, especially as a Yr13. It was held in Dunedin, which was nice and close to home, meaning we had lots of parental support, which was awesome to have. Throughout the tournament everyone grew closer as a team, building stronger friendships and supporting each other on and off the court. We had some thrilling moments, winning a couple of close games that brought a lot of joy and excitement to the whole group. I think the girls’ favourite game was coming away with a win against Otago Girls after being behind by 10 in the first quarter. While we did face a few tough losses, the girls never dropped and pushed through to the end. Overall, the girls’ and my experience was incredibly fun and rewarding, we put the work in. The 2025 SISS tournament wasn’t just about the results, it was about the teamwork, laughter, and the memories we made together, which we succeeded in.
