St Peter’s had two teams playing off on Saturday for 1st place in their respective grade finals.
The U16 Menzies/SPC Team took out the top spot with a hard-fought win over Central Southland College, digging deep to come from behind and take the win 45–34. Well done to the team on an awesome season – unbeaten from grading right through to the final!
Unfortunately, the U14s couldn’t make it a double win for SPC, finishing the season in 2nd place after a gutsy performance against a very strong Central Southland College team. With the dreaded flu running amok through the team it was a tough battle, but CSC deserved the win. Second top team in Southland for the entire U14 grade is still a fantastic achievement – well done!
