We will begin our course selection process for years 11, 12 and 13 2026 next week. This will begin on the Wednesday 22 October. The following timeline explains the process:
Wednesday 22 October
2pm: Course information will be emailed to all ākonga and whānau.
4.30pm – 5.30pm: Hooked on Learning Expo for all Year 10 ākonga and their families. During this time ākonga and whānau are invited to meet with the Year 11 ākonga and kaiako, students and teachers, who have been involved in all of the courses offered this year and on offer next year. This will be an opportunity to hear first-hand about the variety of teaching and learning experiences available to rangatahi at Year 11.
5.45pm – 6.45pm: Course Information Evening for all Year 12 and 13 courses available in 2026. During this time all current Year 11 and 12 ākonga, and their whānau, will have the opportunity to talk with the teachers of courses for next year. Being fully informed about these courses will be vital as decisions will impact NCEA progress and the ability to achieve the very best outcomes at both levels two and three of this school leaving qualification.
Thursday 23 October
8.45am: The options selection portal on Kamar will be open allowing ākonga to make their choices.
The Hooked on Learning Expo and the Course Information Evening will be held at the school and will be the very best way to begin to make well informed choices for senior school learning in 2026.
More detailed information will be available in the Course Information Booklets which we will send next week.
Please be in touch by email should you have questions about any of this, and I do look forward to seeing you all next Wednesday evening.
