After more than a year of rehearsals, fundraising, and nearly weekly trips to Mosgiel, Dada Chantaraviroj is heading to the U.S.A. for the holidays with her dance team from MMDC in Mosgiel.
While Dada is more well known at SPC as a Hip Hop dancer with Dance It Out, she has stepped well out of her comfort zone this year to learn Commercial and Broadway Jazz in preparation for the masterclasses and performances that she will be involved in, in both New York and at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Her MMDC team auditioned to perform at Orlando Disney World and were so excited when they were offered a performance spot. They have had to learn and rehearse a 15-minute dance segment, with strict Disneyland rules about music and lyric choices as well as costume choices and even the dance moves allowed.
The Disney World performance is at the end of the two-week tour, with the first part of the tour taking place in New York.
Dada and her fellow dancers have been invited to take masterclasses in some of the most famous studios on Broadway and will be fully immersed in the performing arts while they are there, with everything from learning new dance genres to attending Broadway musicals.
