Message from the School Board

Posted Wednesday December 3, 2025

As the 2025 school year draws to a close, I want to offer my sincere thanks to every member of our St Peter’s College community, on behalf of the board. It has been a truly uplifting year – one marked by significant milestones and steady growth under the dedicated leadership of our new Principal, Mr Udy.

We were also pleased to welcome other new staff into our college this year. Each has brought their own strengths and enthusiasm, and we are grateful for the positive contribution they are already making to the life of our school.

Looking ahead, we are excited for the new building programme beginning in 2026. This development represents more than bricks and mortar – it is an investment in the future of our students, ensuring they have spaces that inspire learning and growth.

We are also very pleased with the improvement in student attendance this year. This reflects the commitment of our students, the encouragement from whānau, and the support offered by staff who walk alongside them each day.

Our newly formed Board is settling in well, guided by a strong sense of purpose and responsibility. We look forward to continuing our work next year with the wellbeing and success of our students at the forefront of everything we do.

Before we all take a well-earned break, we are eagerly anticipating Prizegiving on Tuesday. It is always a special moment to celebrate the achievements of our amazing students, to recognise their hard work, and to honour our Year 13s as they prepare to leave our college and begin new adventures. We send them with our very best wishes, knowing they carry with them the values that make this community so special.

As we enter the Christmas season – a time of hope, joy, and gratitude – I wish you all a safe, peaceful, and refreshing break. Thank you for your continued commitment to our college.

We look forward to seeing you again in the new year.

Ngā mihi,
Ceri Macleod
Presiding Member, Board of Trustees
