The School Board recently held our first meeting of the year, and it was great to get back into the swing of things. We started the year with some positive news, approving the purchase of a new school van. This will make a real difference for both students and staff by making it easier to get to sporting events, activities, and learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
At the beginning of each year, the Board elects its leadership positions. I’m delighted to have been re-elected as Presiding Member, with Catherine Sayer returning as Deputy. I’m grateful for the continued support of the board and look forward to working together again over the coming year.
As always, our focus remains firmly on our students. Whatever decisions we make as a board, we keep the wellbeing, learning and opportunities of our young people at the centre, guided by the Catholic values that underpin our school community.
We look forward to a great year ahead for the St Peter’s community.
Ngā mihi,
Ceri
