Senior Southern Catholic Schools Sports Exchange

Posted Wednesday April 1, 2026

With an early morning start on Tuesday morning, (6:20am), the Senior A netball team, Senior Boys basketball team, and Senior Mixed hockey team made their way to Dunedin to compete in the annual Senior Sports Exchange with Verdon, St Kevin’s and Trinity. In a change to previous years, the Senior Quad, which has historically been held over two days (Sunday/Monday), has been reduced to a one-day tournament and will now be held in Dunedin (central location) every year. Netball and basketball enjoyed playing under the roof at the Edgar Stadium whilst the hockey team braved the chilly but clear conditions at the McMillan Hockey Turf.

There were some excellent results from our teams on the day with hockey leading the way being unbeaten. All our teams showed great sportsmanship throughout the whole event on and off the field/court and were a credit to themselves and SPC.

Huge thanks to our wonderful coaches, managers and referees. Without your valuable contribution this day would not have been possible.
