On Thursday, 24th July, SPC was fortunate to have Steve Dunstan, co-founder and brand ambassador of the Huffer clothing label, visit.
Huffer is an iconic streetwear brand inspired by innovation and style. Since 1997, Huffer has uniquely brought together fashion and functionality.
Steve was in town as part of the Next Gen Collective – an initiative led by the MLT Hokonui Fashion Awards to empower and showcase the next generation of fashion talent.
Steve spoke to approximately 30 senior students about the Huffer journey – from its inception back in 1997, to the highs and lows the company experienced through its growth and consolidation phases, and the company’s values.
Students and teachers alike found Steve highly engaging. His key message about understanding your personal values and aligning these with your passions was both inspiring and relevant to everyone, no matter their age or stage in life.
