Millie McFadzien has recently returned from Australia where she was part of the New Zealand Secondary Schools Cross Country Team that attended the Australian All Schools Cross Country Championships.
Australia was amazing on the Gold Coast, with the NZSS team putting on an amazing tour with lots of memories made.
Racing wise the heat was tough and it was fast flat start with hills out the back and lots of sharp corners, but finished 13th individually.
Relay was fun but was pretty much just a mad dash on tired legs with the team finishing 3rd but unfortunately, being the B team, it was unofficial so didn't count.
Was still happy enough with time on grass and tired legs though. In between races, due to it being an Australian schools event, they have to put on an educational day so went to sea world which was super cool. On the other spare days we went to Movie World and shopping with a bit of sightseeing. But the whole time just enjoying the team and making great friends and memories over the whole week was a highlight.
