Year 10 Art

Posted Friday December 5, 2025

This term, Year 10 Art have been learning how to make two-colour reduction woodcuts. Students chose either a pet or a native manu/species, developed a design, and carved it in two stages: printing one colour, carving again, then printing the final layer.

Reduction printing is slow, careful work, and the students handled it beautifully. Their final prints are full of character, pattern, and thoughtful decision-making. We’re really proud of what they’ve made and impressed with their commitment to their projects.
