​Career Pathways Department, Term 3, Wk 3

This week we have had a visit with Ralph Youngman from the BCITO (Building and Construction Industry Organisation).  Ralph spent some time with our Gateway Building students and conducted an oral exam on the units they have been studying so far.  Students passed with flying colours, and in fact are well ahead of most of their Southland counterparts.  It's great to see our students achieving so well in the theory part of their Gateway programme.
Starting this week our Hokonui Tertiary High School Students on the Cafe/Bar programme are running a live service at the Bungalow restaurant at SIT Invercargill.  If you are in Invercargill on a Friday go check it out, booking is essential and our five students on the programme are working in the kitchen or on front of house.
