Our Caritas Challenge Work Day is rapidly approaching us and the most important thing to know is that it’s going to be held on the Wednesday, 13 March. The great thing about Work Day is we get the whole day off school to do it.
Work Day is our opportunity to live out our inspirational school motto: Charity fulfils the Law. On Work Day, we students seek paid employment. The money we raise together is then used to support others in need - that’s how charity works! You might have noticed that Work Day is earlier this year. This should make it easier to find work and it is infinitely more pleasant to do work in summer than in the middle of winter. Also, Work Day falls during the season of Lent when we are meant to support those less fortunate than ourselves In keeping with our ethos of Community and Compassion, the majority of the money raised will be given to those who need it more than us.
