In Term Four of last year as part of the Religious Studies topic of Creation and Co-creation, the two Year 8 classes combined to provide a special welcome to the past students and teachers who attended the Jubilee celebrations. We researched different planter boxes and how to make them and different flowers and the conditions they needed to flourish. Some students measured the entrance to the school to determine what size planter boxes would be suitable. After we had researched the cost, we decided to make them from pellets, which Mr. Chisholm kindly donated. The petunias in the school colours were also supplied by a very kind anonymous donor.
A big thank you to the teachers who helped to make this stunning project, especially Mr Coyle, who spent hours in the workshop deconstructing the pellets, ably assisted by Year 10 students, and showing us how to build the planter boxes. Year 8 students 2018
