I am totally disappointed in your decision to continue the use of masks in the classrooms.
The COVID-19 Public Health Response Order (Protection Framework) Order 2021 state:

At schools in Orange, face masks are:

• not required on kids “but are encouraged” - schools may, try to introduce a requirement for wearing mask at during school - this is not the law
• not required by staff, parents, caregivers, whanau, and other visitors “but are encouraged” – again not law.

I have to ask, if continued, are you causing more harm than the virus itself?

“Impairments caused by wearing the mask were reported by 68% of the parents. These included irritability (60%), headache (53%), difficulty concentrating (50%), less happiness (49%), reluctance to go to school/kindergarten (44%), malaise (42%) impaired learning (38%) and drowsiness or fatigue (37%).” (Schwarz et al., April 2021).

How does your decision of unreadiness promote good learning and wellbeing of the children in your care?
Please explain your reasons for continuing the face covering requirement. I look forward to your reply.
