Congratulations to the following students who were awarded a St Peter’s College Community badge this year:

Nicola and Maegan Mitchell  - The twins were awarded the community badge for all the work they do for the school and Gore community by sharing their musical talents.   They bring joy to school assemblies, the Eisteddfod and the Kapa Haka group.  They also participate in numerous fundraising events such as the concert for St John last term.

Josh and Morgan Lawton - They are being awarded the community badge for their service in the Kapa Haka group at school.  They have led the Haka and have played an active role in this group and are helping organise the trip to Wellington for this group for next year

Maxine Cartwright has been busy last term organising and coaching a Junior Touch team for West Gore school to help their community.

Ken Thadalimawat is a valued member of the St Peter’s and 9MM community.  He has fitted seamlessly into the class and is a committed student who is always smiling and so helps brighten the day.

Myah Kortbaoui for showing kindness to the international students in class and offering assistance when she sees that they don't understand a task.

Nicholas Roy fosters a positive culture in the class by quietly helping others who might be having difficulty in class. He also extends his caring to the staff and offers help when they require it.

Flynn Chamberlain for always showing an awareness for other people's feelings, whether it is his close friend, another pupil or a teacher. Flynn will always do the right thing and ensure everyone is included and welcomed.

Abby Gutschlag for helping other students with their reading in English and showing care and concern for other students in her class.

Esse Lucas for assisting other pupils in her class.  Her efforts have helped our international students feel welcome in school.

Michael Hendriks shows compassion by offering to help out others with their work, particularly in Science.
